Former Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry was recently on his podcast and had some interesting things to say about Kevin Stefanski and his time in Cleveland. He said, \u201cYou expect most of these coaches that are younger to be more personable, more relatable with their players, and in most cases it just doesn\u2019t work out that way.\u201d He also noted that after Stefanski earned Coach of the Year honors and the team reached the playoffs, the connection between players and the head coach began to fade.<\/p>\n
Notably, Landry was only with the team through 2021, so he cannot speak from personal experience about the 2022-2025 seasons in Cleveland. Often, players who speak about their experiences with a coach or team years later can rewrite the narrative in hindsight. It is easy to speak poorly about a situation when things did not end up going your way. It would be interesting to hear from other players who were on the roster during those years and shared similar feelings.<\/p>\n

Joel Bitonio, who was in the locker room at that time, has always spoken positively about Stefanski. He mentioned in interviews towards the end of the 2025 season that he had a lot of respect for his head coach and felt like Stefanski had the respect of the locker room as well.<\/p>\n
It is challenging to go through any losing seasons as a team, and it can be an easy scapegoat to blame others for those failures.<\/p>\n
