Following the initial NFL free agency waves, there are still five of the Jacksonville Jaguars’<\/a> own free agents that remain unsigned.<\/p>\n The Jaguars<\/a> entered the offseason with a relatively small free agent class, and GM James Gladstone has brought several of those players back, including, most recently, Montaric Brown, Dennis Gardeck, and Quintin Morris.<\/p>\n Devin Lloyd, meanwhile, signed with Carolina. Travis Etienne joined the Saints, Andrew Wingard is in Arizona, Greg Newsome signed with the Giants, and Dyami Brown is back with the Commanders.<\/p>\n Below is a look at which Jaguars’ free agents<\/a> are still searching for a landing spot.<\/p>\n DE Emmanuel Ogbah<\/p>\n Like Brown, as the season progressed, Ogbah’s role was significantly reduced as Danny Striggow and BJ Green earned more opportunities. This includes being a healthy scratch on a few occasions. Ogbah finished the season with 16 quarterback pressures, one sack, and 13 tackles, according to\u00a0PFF<\/a>.<\/p>\n Expert NFL picks: Exclusive betting insights only at USA TODAY.<\/a>DE Dawuane Smoot<\/p>\n Smoot provided Anthony Campanile with a versatile presence up front, lining up at defensive end and in the B-gap regularly and everywhere in between. Smoot finished the season recording 19 pressures and two sacks, while making 21 tackles in the run game. Re-signing Smoot would still make sense for the Jaguars.<\/p>\n WR Tim Patrick<\/p>\n Patrick finished the season catching\u00a015-of-25 passes<\/a>\u00a0for 187 yards with three touchdowns. Beyond his production, Patrick is a good fit for Liam Coen’s offense, willing to do the dirty work in the run game and attack the middle and intermediate parts of the field. If still available after the draft, perhaps at that time the Jaguars would consider bringing him back if there is still a need at wide receiver to provide a veteran presence and boost competition on the back end of the depth chart.<\/p>\n WR Josh Cephus<\/p>\n The\u00a0Jaguars\u00a0non-tendered Cephus,<\/a> who was an exclusive rights free agent. This, in turn, makes Cephus an unrestricted free agent and able to sign where he pleases. Late during last summer’s training camp, the Jaguars\u00a0waived Cephus<\/a>\u00a0wth an injury designation, after a strong start.<\/p>\n IDL Austin Johnson<\/p>\n For the most part last season, Johnson remained a regular contributor throughout the year, averaging just under 14 snaps per game — although there were a few games where Johnson was inactive. He finished the year with two quarterback pressures and a sack.
