Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer wasn\u2019t buying the idea that Alabama football would have lost all its skill players<\/a> had quarterback Jalen Milroe decided to stay for another year. <\/p>\n

Heading into the NFL Draft, an anonymous coordinator in the NFL told NFL Network<\/a> \u201cwe heard out of Alabama all the skill [players] would\u2019ve transferred if he came back.\u201d<\/p>\n

DeBoer said Monday he heard the quote, and he had a chance to offer his thoughts during a radio appearance with KJR in Seattle<\/a>. The Seahawks ended up drafting Milroe in the third round this past week. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe word \u2018all\u2019 was used,\u201c DeBoer said. \u201dWhenever absolutes are used like that, I kind of question it right there, the words \u2018never\u2019 and \u2018always\u2019 and \u2018all.\u2019 I think that\u2019s a little far-fetched. I don\u2019t think we would have lost all of our receivers for anything. I will also say that there were guys who left. We had six receivers transfer out, just on this last year\u2019s team already. There\u2019s reasons for that. Who you\u2019re hearing that from and what\u2019s happening, I don\u2019t know. That\u2019s really not a concern of mine. I know that Jalen is a guy that really works hard to unite people.\u201c <\/p>\n

Milroe spent two seasons as Alabama\u2019s primary starting quarterback before leaving for the NFL. He had eligibility remaining if he wanted to use it but chose to forgo that eligibility to enter the NFL Draft. <\/p>\n

\u201cI think when you talk in absolutes like that, it\u2019s a little far-fetched to say and not really a concern of mine right now,\u201d DeBoer said. <\/p>\n
