The Miami Dolphins<\/a> fully embraced a rebuild this offseason by making several significant changes to the team. They replaced head coach Mike McDaniel with former Green Bay Packers<\/a> defensive coordinator\u00a0Jeff Hafley.<\/p>\n

The team made several other significant changes during the offseason. They got rid of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa<\/a>, EDGE rusher Bradley Chubb, safety Minkah Fitzpatrick and wide receivers Tyreek Hill<\/a> and Jaylen Waddle. However, one of their notable additions was quarterback Malik Willis.<\/p>\n

Willis faces a challenging task without two of the NFL<\/a>‘s top receivers to throw to. That\u2019s why Chad Reuter from NFL.com predicts that the Dolphins will select KC Concepcion, a wide receiver from Texas A&M<\/a>, who amassed 2,218 yards and 25 touchdowns during his college career.<\/p>\n

“Miami sends the first- and third-round picks it received in the\u00a0Jaylen Waddle\u00a0trade (as well as a fifth-rounder) to Chicago in order to acquire the explosive after-the-catch playmaker needed with Waddle gone (along with the Bears’ fourth-round pick),” Reuter wrote.<\/a> “Newly signed quarterback\u00a0Malik Willis\u00a0can’t move the offense without dynamic receivers.”<\/p>\n

Concepcion\u2019s fit in Miami would center around his ability to create yards after the catch, something this offense will need to rely on heavily moving forward. Unlike traditional downfield threats, he thrives with the ball in his hands, turning short passes into explosive gains. That skill set could help simplify the offense and create easier opportunities in space.<\/p>\n

For Willis, that\u2019s especially important. A quarterback still finding his footing benefits from receivers who can generate offense without needing perfect timing or deep-developing plays. Concepcion\u2019s quickness and vision would give Willis a dependable outlet, allowing the offense to stay on schedule while still maintaining big-play potential.<\/p>\n

In many ways, Concepcion wouldn\u2019t just replace lost production; he would help redefine how Miami operates offensively. By leaning into his strengths, the Dolphins could build a more adaptable system that supports their quarterback while still creating explosive moments.<\/p>\n
