{"id":827988,"date":"2026-03-22T23:00:17","date_gmt":"2026-03-22T23:00:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/827988\/"},"modified":"2026-03-22T23:00:17","modified_gmt":"2026-03-22T23:00:17","slug":"jason-garrett-hosts-several-cowboys-icons-for-opening-of-his-new-italian-restaurant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/827988\/","title":{"rendered":"Jason Garrett hosts several Cowboys icons for opening of his new Italian restaurant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Former <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/sports\/cowboys\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/sports\/cowboys\/\">Dallas Cowboys<\/a> coach Jason Garrett\u2019s restaurant has officially come to life.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/restaurant-news\/2025\/12\/26\/where-to-eat-new-restaurants-dallas-fort-worth-opening-2026\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/restaurant-news\/2025\/12\/26\/where-to-eat-new-restaurants-dallas-fort-worth-opening-2026\/\">Caffe Lucca, located near the Katy Trail and the Knox Hotel,<\/a> is a project built by Dallas restauranteur Julian Barsotti, Garrett and former Cowboys quarterback Babe Laufenberg. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/restaurant-news\/2023\/12\/12\/caffe-lucca-restaurant-highland-park-dallas-jason-garrett-babe-laufenberg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/restaurant-news\/2023\/12\/12\/caffe-lucca-restaurant-highland-park-dallas-jason-garrett-babe-laufenberg\/\">The establishment is named after Laufenberg\u2019s late son, Luke<\/a>. It serves Sicilian food and will include Mediterranean, Moroccan, Greek and Italian influences.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">The restaurant hosted an opening cocktail party that included several current and former Cowboys players.
