We asked who you felt would provide the best value in this free agency class. Now, we’ll take a look at the contracts, starting with the biggest bargain of all. All of the listed numbers are courtesy of Over the Cap.

WR Christian Kirk: 1 year, $2.78 million guaranteed

Base salary: $1.61 million

Signing bonus: $1.17 million

If you look at the previous contract Kirk signed, the Niners are getting a massive bargain. He’s coming off a $72 million deal that guaranteed him $37 million and paid him $18 million per year. That was back in 2022. Kirk went over 1,100 receiving yards that season. He’s had 1,405 receiving yards in three seasons since that career year.

Kirk comes with an injury risk. He will be 30 this season. But for the price, considering what the ceiling could be, it’s a quality deal. If Kirk has a handful of games where he produces, the contract will be worth it.

LB Dre Greenlaw: 1 year, $6 million (fully guaranteed)

Base salary: $2.6 million

Signing bonus: $2.5 million

Cap number: $3.55 million

Greenlaw is signed for one year on paper, but his deal includes four void years for salary cap purposes. Take, for example, Greenlaw’s $2.5 million signing bonus. That’ll stretch out through five seasons at $500,000 against the cap. The Niners will pay him $3.5 million in guarantees this season. Add in a $50,000 workout bonus, and that’s how you get his cap number.

Greenlaw also gets $850,000 in 2026 for a per-game roster bonus. He will count against the cap in 2027, but only at $2.5 million. The contract is structured in a way that the 49ers could give Dre enough money to sign without taking on too much of a cap burden for this upcoming season.

CB Nate Hobbs: 1 year, $1.86 million guaranteed

Base salary: $1.86 million

Signing bonus: $1.25 million

Cap number: $3.38 million

Hobbs’ contract is straightforward. There aren’t any additional void or ghost years. It’s a one-year deal with a $340,000 per game roster bonus and a $50,000 workout bonus.

Hobbs is another player coming off a deal that did not work out. His previous contract totalled $48 million with $16 in guarantees. That was last offseason from the Packers. Hobbs best work came in the slot last season. He’s never been much of a special teams player. We will see what his role with the 49ers will be next year.

The contract details are in for most of the San Francisco 49ers’ free agent additions.
