He has played in 20 NFL games over four seasons with the Patriots, Carolin Panthers, and Atlanta Falcons.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Roberts had the only sack of his career and two quarterback hits while playing 102 defensive snaps for the Falcons in 2025. He played in just five games before landing on injured reserve with ankle and knee injuries. Roberts played 74 of his 102 snaps at nose tackle last season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">This appears to be a low-cost gamble on a player who was playing the best football of his career last season before being injured.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">The Giants have two veteran defensive linemen who are free agents, Rakeem Nunez-Roches and D.J. Davidson.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Roberts played collegiately at Division II Northwest Missouri State.
