The New Orleans Saints<\/a> got an especially close look at Mansoor Delane at LSU\u2019s pro day on Monday, where the cornerback is widely viewed as a projected top-15 selection in this year\u2019s draft. Saints brass typically shows up in full force for LSU\u2019s pro day every year given the short trip from New Orleans to Baton Rouge, but this one carries a bit more weight. Cornerbacks coach Grady Brown got to run drills for Mansoor Delane, one of the top corners in this class and a legitimate top-10 prospect.<\/p>\n Brown is entering his second season in New Orleans after spending four years with the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he helped develop some of the league\u2019s top defensive backs. That impact started to show in 2025, as the Saints\u2019 young secondary took a noticeable step forward. Players like Kool-Aid McKinstry and Quincey Riley came on strong down the stretch, playing a key role in the team finishing ninth in the league in passing yards allowed.<\/p>\n With the No. 8 pick in this year\u2019s draft, New Orleans could be in a prime position to add to that group, with Delane very much in play if he\u2019s on the board. Early returns from LSU\u2019s pro day suggest he turned heads, posting 40-yard dash times in the 4.34- to 4.38-range across his two runs. That type of speed is the kind that can shift a player\u2019s stock in a hurry, potentially locking him into the top 10, or even pushing him closer to the top five.
