With the NFL draft and free agency period behind us, the official countdown to the 2025 season has begun. Week 1 is just 100 days away and NFL teams around the league are getting back to work. On Tuesday, 20 different teams, including the Atlanta Falcons<\/a>, arrived for the start of organized team activities.<\/p>\n

With Michael Penix Jr<\/a>. set to lead the offense, and a revamped defense led by two first-round picks, the team has high hopes for the upcoming season. Here’s everything you need to know as the Falcons begin OTAs.<\/p>\n

Which NFL teams start OTAs on Tuesday?<\/p>\n

Atlanta Falcons<\/a>, Baltimore Ravens<\/a>, Buffalo Bills<\/a>, Carolina Panthers<\/a>, Cincinnati Bengals<\/a>, Cleveland Browns<\/a>, Denver Broncos<\/a>, Green Bay Packers<\/a>, Kansas City Chiefs<\/a>, Los Angeles Chargers<\/a>, Los Angeles Rams<\/a>, Miami Dolphins<\/a>, Minnesota Vikings<\/a>, New York Giants<\/a>, Philadelphia Eagles<\/a>, Pittsburgh Steelers<\/a>, San Francisco 49ers<\/a>, Seattle Seahawks<\/a>, Tampa Bay Buccaneers<\/a>, and Tennessee Titans<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Falcons 2025 OTAs schedule<\/p>\n

In total, the Atlanta Falcons will have six official organized team activities\/practices. The first week runs from May 28-30. The second week starts on June 3 and wraps up on June 5.<\/p>\n

What is allowed at OTAs?<\/p>\n

“The OTA schedule, lasting four weeks, kicks off Phase Three of the offseason program,” NFL.com explains<\/a>. “Teams may conduct a total of 10 days of organized team practice activities. No live contact is allowed, but 7-on-7, 9-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills are permitted.”<\/p>\n

Are OTAs mandatory?<\/p>\n

No, offseason team activities are not mandatory, although several key players will be in attendance. The players who generally skip OTAs are veterans or those in contract disputes. For example, Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins<\/a> is not present for Day 1 of offseason activities. Head coach Raheem Morris said he did not expect the veteran QB to attend due to his uncertain future with the team.<\/p>\n

When does Falcons mandatory minicamp begin?<\/p>\n

The Falcons kick off their mandatory minicamp in a few weeks, starting on June 10 and running through June 12.<\/p>\n
