Trevor Siemian, now entering his 12th season in the NFL, has found a home for the 2026 campaign.<\/p>\n
After previously signing Tua Tagovailoa<\/a> during NFL free agency, the Atlanta Falcons<\/a> are now signing veteran quarterback Trevor Siemian, ESPN first reported on Tuesday (via Falcons Wire<\/a>). Michael Penix is still recovering from an ACL injury, so Siemian will give Atlanta more depth at the position.<\/p>\n Siemian, 34, entered the league as a seventh-round pick out of Northwestern with the Denver Broncos<\/a> in 2015. He was a reserve third-string quarterback behind Peyton Manning and Brock Osweiler as a rookie, winning a Super Bowl ring as the club’s QB3.<\/p>\n After Manning retired and Osweiler left in free agency following the Super Bowl, Siemian beat out first-round draft pick Paxton Lynch and veteran Mark Sanchez for the starting job. He went 13-11 as a starter with the Broncos over the next two seasons before being traded to the Minnesota Vikings<\/a> in 2018.<\/p>\n Siemian spent time with six other NFL teams after leaving Denver, and the Falcons will now be his eighth club. A veteran journeyman backup since his time with the Broncos, Siemian has a 15-18 career win-loss record.<\/p>\n Need a news break?
