As the rules state, at the moment, he will either start the season on the 53-man roster (though he probably wouldn\u2019t be fully ready to return until about Week 3) or he will start the season on the physically unable to perform list, meaning that he can\u2019t even practice with the team before Week 5. The one bright side to the PUP list is that Parsons wouldn\u2019t take up a spot on the 53-man roster during his time out of the rotation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">A new bylaw proposed by the NFL competition committee, though, wants to change how these PUP list players are used to start the season.
