The Baltimore Ravens<\/a> have had quite the interesting offseason.<\/p>\n

The team decided to move on from John Harbaugh<\/a> after almost 20 years as the head coach. Then, the team lost starting center Tyler Linderbaum to the Las Vegas Raiders<\/a> in free agency, and agreed to a trade for Maxx Crosby, only for the trade to be cancelled.<\/p>\n

Now, the team has some major questions to answer before the 2026 season begins. Linderbaum’s departure leaves a big hole at center, but there could be a solid option on the free agent market.<\/p>\n

Zach Pereles of CBS Sports<\/a> recently identified veteran Lloyd Cushenberry as a logical fit for the Ravens. Regarding that pairing, Pereles offered the following:<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Ravens’ adventurous offseason included trading two first-round picks for\u00a0Maxx Crosby, nixing the trade over a failed physical and then signing\u00a0Trey Hendrickson. They also lost a ton of their own free agents, most notably\u00a0Tyler Linderbaum. Cushenberry struggled in Tennessee the past few years, but then again, so did almost every\u00a0Titans<\/a>\u00a0player. Lew is the top center in CBS Sports’\u00a0NFL Draft Prospect Rankings.<\/p>\n

Cushenberry is available after being cut by the Tennessee Titans this offseason. As Pereles mentioned, Cushenberry’s struggles over the last two seasons can’t be held against him considering his team in general struggled.<\/p>\n

In 2025, Cushenberry played in 15 games and earned a 55.2 grade from Pro Football Focus<\/a>, which ranked 36th out of 40 qualified centers. However, the center has played at an almost Pro Bowl level in the past, and he could thrive in a system like Baltimore’s.<\/p>\n

Cushenberry is also just 28, so he could still have several productive years as a center.\u00a0 The Ravens probably don’t want to invest a ton of money in the position, so Cushenberry could be the best stopgap option available.<\/p>\n

The veteran center originally entered the league as a third-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Cushenberry spent the first four years of his career with the Denver Broncos<\/a> before landing a big four-year, $50 million deal with the Titans ahead of the 2024 season.<\/p>\n

In those two seasons with the Titans, Cushenberry missed 11 games, which certainly contributed to his release. However, if he’s healthy, some team like the Ravens could potentially get a steal.<\/p>\n
