The Chargers are not necessarily hurting for wide receiver depth, but with the change in offensive coordinator from Greg Roman to Mike McDaniel, one has to wonder if the team will now look to add someone they deem a \u201cfit\u201d for the latter\u2019s offense.<\/p>\n
One receiver in this year\u2019s draft who could be deemed a proper fit for a McDaniel offense is Texas A&M\u2019s KC Concepcion whom the Chargers have reportedly scheduled a Top 30 visit with this week, per The Draft Network\u2019s Ryan Fowler.<\/p>\n
The 6\u20190, 196-pound Concepcion is seen as a great fit in the Chargers\u2019 new offense thanks to his elite ability to create separation and burst through the defense. That\u2019s not unlike Tyreek Hill or Jaylen Waddle, both of whom created a ton of separation while playing in this same offense.<\/p>\n
Concepcion started his career at North Carolina State where he was a Freshman All-American after posting 839 yards and 10 receiving touchdowns. He also rushed 320 yards on the ground to total well over 1,000 scrimmage yards in his first year on campus. After a down year as a sophomore (460 yards, six touchdowns), Concepcion transferred to A&M for his final collegiate season.<\/p>\n
He capped of his three-year career with an All-American campaign where he recorded 919 receiving yards and nine touchdowns while also scoring twice on punt returns.
