Earlier this month, the Miami Dolphins<\/a> released quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, allowing him to sign with the Atlanta Falcons<\/a> for the 2026 season where he’ll compete with Michael Penix for the starting job.<\/p>\n

Now, Miami has lost another quarterback to the NFC South, as New Orleans Football Network’s Nick Underhill reported<\/a> that Zach Wilson is signing a one-year deal with the New Orleans Saints.<\/p>\n

Wilson, 26, was a first-round pick (No. 2 overall) of the New York Jets in the 2021 NFL draft out BYU. He spent three seasons in New York and one with the Denver Broncos before the Dolphins<\/a> signed him last March.<\/p>\n

Despite the struggles at quarterback in 2025, Miami didn’t use Wilson much, as he appeared in just four games and completed 6-of-11 passes (54.5%) for 32 yards. Now, he’ll back up Tyler Shough in New Orleans.<\/p>\n
