Each year, he started at least one game for the Lions, totalling in 11 starts across four years\u2014including four last season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">But Awosika had found himself sliding down the Lions\u2019 depth chart as they continued to add more competition and youth on the offensive line. They drafted Christian Mahogany in 2024 and selected both Miles Frazier and Tate Ratledge in last year\u2019s draft. Toward the end of the 2025 season, Awosika was a regular healthy scratch for the team.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">This offseason, the Lions have added even more competition on the interior offensive line. Though they moved on from Graham Glasgow, they added Juice Scruggs, Seth McLaughlin, Cade Mays, and Ben Bartch. That left little room for Awosika to come back and compete for a reserve role.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">This has been an offseason of change along the Lions\u2019 offensive line.
