According to Jason Fitzgerald of Over The Cap, only 58% of the Jets’ 2024 players remain on their roster, the lowest percentage in the NFL.

Teams with the least percent of returning players:

1. Jets: 58.0%

2. Titans: 59.4%

3. Vikings: 61.7%

4. Raiders: 62.1%

5. 49ers: 62.0%

6. Dolphins: 63.8%

7. Jaguars: 63.9%

8. Browns: 64.0%

9. Chargers: 64.1%

10. Steelers: 67.2%

You may notice a theme: Four of the top seven teams have a new head coach and a new general manager, including each of the top two, New York and Tennessee. It makes sense – newly hired regimes usually inherit poor situations, and thus, they want to put their own stamp on the franchise to begin steering it in the right direction.

The Jets, though, have taken their organizational overhaul to a further degree than any other team. It’s a refreshing and much-needed clean slate for a franchise that has not appeared in a playoff game since current Jets running back Braelon Allen was seven years old.

Head coach Aaron Glenn and general manager Darren Mougey notably decided to part ways with many of the Jets’ biggest names, highlighted by Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams. They also allowed veteran starters like D.J. Reed, Morgan Moses, and Tyler Conklin to walk in free agency.

Jets fans were well aware of Glenn and Mougey’s approach with the household-name players, but it is fascinating to learn the sheer quantity of New York’s roster exodus. It’s not just the stars – from top to bottom, no NFL team has overhauled its roster more than the Jets this offseason.

If you did not know already that Glenn and Mougey are making a concerted effort to reshape the Jets’ culture, the message is loud and clear by now.

[2051
7,226,1917,255,2321,2097,6,3231,16887
0":"post-83438","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-new-york-jets","8":"tag-football","9":"tag-jets","10":"tag-new-york","11":"tag-new-york-jets","12":"tag-newyork","13":"tag-newyorkjets","14":"tag-nfl","15":"tag-ny-jets-news","16":"tag-ny-jets-roster
["GET
