After visiting with the Seattle Seahawks, the former Pro Bowler is set to meet with the Las Vegas Raiders, and now the running back has options if the teams he visited have interest as well. Originally selected in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, the former Alabama product appeared in just three games as a member of the Chargers. The running back was the leader in the group ahead of Omarion Hampton and Kimani Vidal before suffering a torn Achilles, which ended his 2025 regular season.

Unfortunately, the Chargers moved on and feel good about Hampton, who took advantage to establish himself as the primary starter after Harris signed just a one-year deal with Los Angeles last offseason. It wasn’t the first time that Harris went down with a questionable injury. During his stint with the Steelers, the running back suffered a sprain following a foot injury in 2022.

Despite having a Pro Bowl season in 2021 and consistently topping 1,000-yard seasons, the Steelers declined Harris’s fifth-year option in 2024, which made him a free agent in 2025. Harris continued to stay consistent despite the contract issues and injury concerns, which led him to the Chargers, and now probably one of the most underrated free agent running backs. Harris won’t be the same when he returns, but he should be a reliable backup for these four teams that need depth.

4 Teams Emerge as Top Fits for Former 1,000-Yard Pro Bowler Najee Harris
Dallas Cowboys

Despite signing Javonte Williams to a new contract, the Dallas Cowboys need backup help. Jaydon Blue isn’t ready to emerge yet, even though he showed some promise towards the end of the 2025 campaign. The Cowboys can’t lean on Phil Mafah and Malik Davis if they want to be a winning team in the playoffs. Harris would be a low-stakes investment for Dallas, and even though the team hasn’t shown interest, they might look into the running back if he’s still available.

The veteran won’t be overhauling the running back room by nightfall, but he’s a capable back that can help Williams for short-yardage possessions and be a 1-2 punch, which Miles Sanders failed to do last season.

Baltimore Ravens

For the Ravens, the team lost Keaton Mitchell after deciding not to tender him. Baltimore is still a contender despite firing head coach John Harbaugh, but retaining Derrick Henry. However, the Ravens must understand that Henry is slowing down, and Harris could be the perfect fit to be his duo.

Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs don’t have the cap space to afford backup help in their running back room, but they could use it for Kenneth Walker. Brashard Smith is still waiting in the wings, but with the team having aspirations to get back in the playoffs, the team could look into Harris. The veteran won’t be a starter, but if the Chiefs don’t bring back Kareem Hunt, Harris could be an option.

Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings don’t need another running back after agreeing to a new one-year deal with Aaron Jones. However, he’s still on the hot seat. Jordan Mason may emerge as the key starter after joining the Vikings via a trade a couple of years ago, but Harris might be an important fit for the offense, especially for a team that has plenty of quarterbacks to work through. This means the team will likely be leaning more on the run game.

Former Los Angeles Charger RB Najee Harris is beginning to gain interest from teams with multiple visits, and…

[2064
6912,849,241,5403,5404,436,292,7,1274,922,9295,114345,1014,262,2453,2444,2443,1312,4125,6,835,2374,10420
post-835531","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-los-angeles-chargers","tag-aaron-jones","tag-baltimore-ravens-news","tag-chargers","tag-chargers-featured","tag-chiefs-featured","tag-dallas-cowboys-news","tag-derrick-henry","tag-football","tag-javonte-williams","tag-kansas-city-chiefs-news","tag-kenneth-walker-iii","tag-lastest-nfl-news","tag-los-angeles","tag-los-angeles-chargers","tag-los-angeles-chargers-news","tag-losangeles","tag-losangeleschargers","tag-minnesota-vikings-news","tag-najee-harris","tag-nfl","tag-nfl-news","tag-pittsburgh-steelers-news","tag-ravens-featured
["GET
