Everyone says that the NFL has a referee problem. The truth is the NFL’s biggest issue is that even though we have the technology to get everything right, the referees decisions are often wrong and not challengeable affecting the outcomes of games!<\/p>\n
The Owners have to understand that until the Coaches are allowed to challenge ANY CALL OR NON-Call the referees make, the fans will feel that the games are unfair or rigged!<\/p>\n
It is absolutely ludicrous that NFL coaches cannot challenge subjective judgment calls, most penalties (holding, pass interference, roughing the passer), spot of the ball (unless it involves the line-to-gain), or forward progress rulings. Additionally, non-calls, plays within the final two minutes of either half, and illegal acts like intentional grounding are generally not reviewable by coaches.<\/p>\n
You don’t have to give Coaches more challenge opportunities, (I will give them one more per game), but come on now! How many times you see a blatant Non Call from the Refs that turns a game upside down! We have the technology to get everything right!<\/p>\n
