The Indianapolis Colts<\/a> will begin Phase III of Organized Team Activities (OTAs) on Wednesday, May 28th.<\/p>\n

The Colts are one of five teams<\/a>, which also include Arizona, Detroit, Houston, and Washington, that will open OTAs on Wednesday. There were 20 teams that kicked things off on Tuesday, and the seven teams with new head coaches began last week.<\/p>\n

In Phase III, teams can participate in team drills with 7-on-7 or 11-on-11 matchups taking place. Previously, in Phase II of offseason programs, only individual drills were permitted. However, contact is still not allowed.<\/p>\n

These OTA practices are still voluntary, and for the Colts will take place from May 28th through the 30th and then from June 3rd through the 5th.<\/p>\n

Offseason programs will then conclude with mandatory minicamp, which takes place June 10th through the 12th for Indianapolis.<\/p>\n

Of course, with team drills starting on Wednesday, all eyes will be on the Colts’ quarterback competition between Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones. As Shane Steichen has already said, the two will split starting reps, and ultimately, what the Colts are looking for is consistency.<\/p>\n

“We\u2019re just looking for consistency on a daily basis,\u201d Steichen said earlier this offseason.<\/a> \u201cI mean, you look around the league, the teams that were in the playoffs, the quarterback play was consistent.\u201d<\/p>\n
