The exciting part of NFL free agency is long over, with most teams getting their business done within the first week of the league year. Focus is on the NFL Draft in less than a month, with any free agent signed on the Monday after the draft no longer counting in the compensatory pick formula.<\/p>\n

For the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks, everyone who entered this offseason as a free agent is now accounted for<\/a>, so there\u2019s really not much more you should expect from them over the next few months. There are, however, a lot of familiar unsigned former Seahawks on the market, ranging from recent depth pieces to franchise legends who were key to Seattle\u2019s first Super Bowl win.<\/p>\n

Exempting the likes of Quandre Diggs and Shaquill Griffin, who were on the Seahawks practice squad before it was dissolved, here are the \u201coutside free agent former Seahawks\u201d still looking for a new team\u2026 we assume.<\/p>\n

Unsigned former Seattle Seahawks free agents<\/p>\n

Wilson and Wagner were two of the cornerstones of Seattle\u2019s first Super Bowl title. Wagner is certainly going into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the waters have become much murkier for Russ, but they\u2019re both bare minimum in the Seahawks Ring of Honor at some point in time. Another season for Bobby would put him on course to be the NFL\u2019s all-time tackles leader, so why wouldn\u2019t he give it one last season? Wilson doesn\u2019t seem to be thinking about retirement, but this is the first time in his career he\u2019s clearly not in real consideration to be a starting QB anymore.<\/p>\n

Lockett has had the brutal misfortune of being drafted after Seattle\u2019s Super Bowl loss to the New England Patriots and getting let go<\/a> before Seattle\u2019s Super Bowl return and subsequent triumph. Add him to the list of future Ring of Honor members, hopefully. Perhaps Lockett\u2019s next contract is a 1-day to retire as one of the great Seahawks in franchise history.<\/p>\n

Jadeveon Clowney would probably be the most realistic potential reunion given past ties to Mike Macdonald when they were with the Baltimore Ravens, with whom Clowney had his career-best season. Given the loss of Boye Mafe in free agency, maybe the 33-year-old Clowney has a chance to be a cheap rotational edge rusher who can also defend the run.<\/p>\n

Lastly, and speaking of notable former Seahawks defensive players acquired in a trade, I should acknowledge that Jamal Adams played all 17 games for the Raiders this past season.
