John Harbaugh is setting a new tone with new messages on signage around the Giants<\/a>\u2018 East Rutherford, N.J., facility: \u201crelentless persistence\u201d and \u201cfinish everything all the time.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Giants\u2019 new head coach told the Pardon My Take podcast that he\u2019s excited to get the players in the building on April 6, and it\u2019s important that he and the coaching staff set the right tone once they step in.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt could have been persistent relentlessness, but that was a little too long for the wall. So I went relentless persistence,\u201d Harbaugh said of his core motto on TV screens and signs around the building. \u201cI felt like that kind of captured the mindset.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd then the other one was \u2018Finish everything all the time,’\u201d he added. \u201cSo everything is gonna be a big deal: Confront everything, work hard at everything, everything all the time. All the time, everything that\u2019s what we\u2019re doing. Everything necessary all the time.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s understandable why Harbaugh is drilling in the message of finishing and persisting through adversity.<\/p>\n

Last year\u2019s Giants\u2019 4-13 season was riddled with blown leads. This is a team that brought some energy and attitude at times in 2025 but lacked the confidence and execution to make plays when it mattered most.<\/p>\n

Harbaugh is getting right to the heart of the matter: Don\u2019t stop. Keep going. Keep attacking.<\/p>\n

The mantra \u201cfinish everything all the time\u201d also is an allusion to how Harbaugh wants the team to go about its daily work.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s not just about finishing games, it\u2019s about making a habit of completing tasks, working hard and smart and preparing properly so the players and team are more prepared and freer to play fast without looking over their shoulders on gamedays.<\/p>\n

Harbaugh does not intend for the Giants to continue to be a \u201chere we go again\u201d team when something goes wrong. He aims to have a team that forces the opponent to fold and quit.<\/p>\n

Speaking it out loud is a start.<\/p>\n

GIANTS GOT \u2018A LOT FOR OUR BUCK\u2019 IN FREE AGENCY<\/p>\n

Harbaugh said he thought the Giants \u201cgot a lot for our buck\u201d in free agency<\/a> despite having \u201cmid-level\u201d salary cap space, and he used his former Baltimore Ravens team as a comparison to demonstrate how well the Giants did.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe signed 16 guys in free agency, and we did it with just mid-level spending in the National Football League,\u201d Harbaugh told Pardon My Take. \u201cFor free agency we were right in the middle, and we signed 16 guys with that. I think the Ravens had about the same, and they signed eight guys.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo I\u2019m really excited about the fact that \u2014 I think we got a lot for our buck, so to speak,\u201d the coach added. \u201cAnd these are all guys that are motivated guys, that wanted to be here for the right reasons, that are gonna fit our style of play. We\u2019ll see, but I\u2019m really kind of pleased with these guys. And we\u2019re not done yet.\u201d<\/p>\n

HARBAUGH DISLIKES BIDEN COMPARISON<\/p>\n

The Giants\u2019 head coach said he is not pleased that the general public believes Harbaugh\u2019s voice sounds like former President Joe Biden\u2019s.<\/p>\n

A clip of Harbaugh\u2019s February interview with FOX & Friends<\/a> went viral when New York Revival<\/a> co-host \u2018el Jefe\u2019 tweeted: \u201cSomeone said that John Harbaugh has the same voice as Joe Biden and now I can\u2019t unhear it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harbaugh laughed at the question but said he doesn\u2019t like the comparison.<\/p>\n

\u201cYa know, I\u2019m not happy with that at all,\u201d Harbaugh said. \u201cI might have had a little sore throat that day. I got a little sore throat today. I mean Joe Biden, really? Did you guys think I sounded like Joe Biden? Was it the whole interview or maybe one sentence that they clipped out.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Pardon My Take hosts jokingly tried to get Harbaugh to record a message in Biden\u2019s voice, and he played along but was advised by a Giants public relations employee not to do it.<\/p>\n

The topic of ice cream came up, and Harbaugh said: \u201cI can\u2019t eat ice cream anymore. Can Joe Biden eat ice cream at his age? Really?\u201d<\/p>\n

He closed the segment by doubling down on not loving the comparison.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m gonna have to dispute that,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019m putting that in dispute right now. I want a judicial hearing [laughs]. I\u2019m not accepting that. I will not accept that comparison under any circumstances.\u201d<\/p>\n

TIME TO MEET<\/p>\n

The NFL\u2019s owners meetings will take place in Phoenix, Ariz., from Sunday through Tuesday.
