In a recent 2026 NFL mock draft from CBS Sports<\/a>, the Jacksonville Jaguars<\/a> give their interior defensive line a needed boost.<\/p>\n

At pick No. 56 in the second round, Josh Edwards had the Jaguars<\/a> selecting Iowa State interior defender Domonique Orange.<\/p>\n

“Jacksonville adds some mass to the defensive interior with the selection of ‘Big Citrus’; a fitting addition for the team from Florida,” wrote Edwards.<\/p>\n

Let’s take a closer look at the pick.<\/p>\n

Domonique Orange’s stats to know<\/p>\n

Listed at 6-4 – 325 pounds, Orange has played 1,575 defensive snaps over the last four seasons. Over the previous three years, he’s logged 45 total pressures and one sack. He’s graded out quite well against the run by\u00a0PFF’s metrics.<\/a><\/p>\n

The need here is twofold, and it’s quite high. As we can see from the depth chart above, the Jaguars need bodies at this position group. Improved depth and competition are a must.<\/p>\n

But in addition to that, this is a position where more pass-rush juice is needed. While the Jaguars held up very well against the run last season, the interior defensive line, in particular, struggled to generate a consistent pass rush down the stretch and into the playoffs.<\/p>\n

Domonqiue Orange scouting report<\/p>\n

Here is what NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein<\/a> had to say about Orange in his pre-draft report:<\/p>\n

“Orange is a sturdy nose tackle capable of muddying the middle of the field with his first-step quickness and take-on power. His reaction time makes it hard to reach-block him in zone and he has the anchor to play landlord over the A-gaps against double-teams. He gets bounced around on contact but is excellent in recovery and winning the final phase of the rep. Orange is a non-factor as a pass rusher, but his value versus the run should attract teams.”<\/p>\n
