First of all thank you for your coverage of the Tennessee Titans. Having lived the vast majority of my 59 years in Tennessee most of my allegiance goes to the Big Orange. However, I was really happy when the Great State of Tennessee got an NFL team so I could have a favorite team on Sunday. Been a Titan fan since day one through thick and thin.
That being said do you agree that the Titans have always been at their best when they have a Stud running back? Eddie George, Chris Johnson, King Henry. I know this can be said about most teams but it really seems to hold true with the Titans. So it would seem Love would be a great pick at 4. Even though running back isn’t the vogue position to pick in the Top 10 of the draft. I think it fits our franchise and is worth the pick. Other positions can be addressed with the rest of the draft. Maybe even trade back some to pick up more draft picks. Just my opinion. Thanks Again.
P.S. Love the rebrand. Always thought the powder blue should be the primary color and the Tri-Star logo is perfect for a Tennessee Team.

Jim: Good to hear from you, Ron. And yes, I agree with your take on this. The Titans have a history of great running backs, and the three you mentioned were sure fun to watch, and cover. I’ve seen some folks try to punch holes in the thought of drafting a running back early while dismissing the value of the position as it relates to winning Super Bowls. The Titans had teams capable of winning the Super Bowl when all those backs played for the franchise, earning the AFC’s No.1 with all three on the team. But they came up short each time for reasons not related to the running back. Yes, this team needs help at edge rusher, and the Titans could ultimately decide to go there with their first-round pick. But after seeing the value of Eddie, C.J. and Derrick, you won’t see me campaigning against Jeremiyah Love, who is a dynamic player and someone I think could end up being the best player in this draft. But, I admit, I like some of these edge rushers, too.

Josh Conner from Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Question: Jim. Love the rebrand and the new uniforms. I have a question about the process, and I hope you can shed some light on it. It seems the push for the new uniforms started around the 2024 season. The Titans had worn the Oilers throwbacks in the 2023 season, and their popularity was obvious. Before the 2024 season, the Texans unveiled their new uniform set, featuring light blue as an accent. It was reported at the time that the McNair family wanted to use the color more prominently than they did, but were blocked by the NFL and the Titans. My question is: did the NFL give the Titans a “use it or lose it” ultimatum regarding Titan Blue? The move to go exclusively to Titan blue in 2025 seems to indicate that, and the rebrand to Titan Blue and Red with navy mixed in further reinforces that narrative. Regardless, the Titans got the better end of the deal. Thanks, and Titan Up!

Jim: Hey Josh. The team officially made the decision in the summer of 2024, when it indicated plans to change the unforms, and the logo, for the 2026 season. I’ve never heard of any “use it or lose it” ultimatum, and that doesn’t make sense since the color is part of this franchise’s history, not the Texans.

Enrique Bernal from Texas
Question: Hola Jim !! It would be really nice to check out our seat locations and walk around/tour the stadium after it is finished. Since the PSL holders are paying for a good part of the stadium I think they should be some of the first ones to tour the venue after it’s completed.

Jim: Hi Stan. I have not heard anything planned along these lines. Keep in mind the first event at new Nissan Stadium won’t be a Titans game. The stadium is on schedule to be completed in February 2027, and there will be a number of events before September, from concerts to the CMA Festival to perhaps even a college football game. Fans, and PSL holders, could use that as an opportunity to get a sneak peek before the Titans kick off in September 2027.

John Manioci from Rochester, New York
Question: Jim. I like the new logo but was wondering if adding another T would be awesome.

Jim: Hey John. What you see is what you get with the new logo.

Jordan Griffith from Nashville, Tennessee
Question: A lot of Titans fans are arguing that it would be a waste of a pick to take love at 4 when edge is a need. And I’ve tried to argue that Saleh can work with Femi. I think it would be a mistake to not take love at 4. People need to realize and not think of love as just a rb, he is a playmaker. And all the moves we have made on the dline makes love at 4 more realistic. Do you think Love at 4 is getting more realistic after these signings?

Jim: Hey Jordan. Even after all the additions in free agency (19 new players added), I think everything is still in play with the draft. I do think Femi will make a leap in year 2, but there is still a need at edge. And RB. And WR. And OL.

Eric Koehler from Las Vegas, Nevada
Question: I love our major signings and depth pieces. However, I was really concerned about the lack of starting talent on the interior O-line until I caught a Terron Armstead podcast where he and another O-line specialist were going over the talent in the draft. Most analysts have been saying it’s a weaker class and it sounds like they are wrong. Febechi Wawaui, Sam Hecht, and Logan Jones are probably all 3rd round and later picks for center. They were also high on Chase Bisontis, Gennings Dunker, and Keylan Rutledge at guard but thought they would be 2nd round or early 3rd. Do you think our scouts have these guys in their sites or are we looking at a lineman at 4 or 35? I hope that’s not where we go with our early picks.

Jim: Hey Eric. There’s no doubt more players will be added on the offensive line, I suspect in both free agency and the NFL Draft. I can’t see the Titans taking a lineman at 4. None of the o-linemen in this year’s class have a ranking close to that high. Daniel Jeremiah, one of the best draft analysts out there, has Miami tackle Francis Mauigoa as his highest-rated player, and he’s ranked 10th. Penn State interior lineman Olaivavega Ioane is ranked 12th.

Dimitrios Kosmas from Calgary Alberta, Canada
Question: Howdy Mr. Jimbo Wyatt.
Hope you’re doing well, sir.
Quick one for you — I’ll be passing through Nashville around April 10th or 11th, and I might have just one full day in the city. With everything I’ve ever thrown your way over the years, I figured I’d go straight to the source:
If you had one day in Nashville… where are you sending me?
Anything special going on around those dates I should know about?
And if you don’t mind me sneaking in one Titans question — if you had to choose right now: edge rusher, running back, interior OL or wide receiver… where are you going for this team in the first, second, third, and forth round?
Always a pleasure chatting with you.
I hope you got my manuscript — apologies for sending it through Ask Jim, I just wanted to make sure it found its way to the right hands.
Titan Up!!
Jimmy the Canadian Greek 🇨🇦🇬🇷

Jim: Hope all is well, Dimitros. Well, you should be coming at a good time. There’s always tons to do in the city. You can always find something to do downtown, even if it’s just walking around, popping into some of the honky tonks, grabbing something to eat. You can check out the progress of the new stadium.
As for the draft, edge rusher, running back, interior OL and receiver are all needs, but which round each position is addressed is going to hinge on how GM Mike Borgonzi has guys ranked, and what happens around the team’s pick.
