The New York Giants defined dysfunction in 2025. There was the meltdown in Dallas, the fourth-quarter collapse in Mile High<\/a>, the five losses in games where they led by double digits, and the firing of their head coach and defensive coordinator before Thanksgiving. Has the picture been painted yet?<\/p>\n

They were miserably misguided, but also experienced serious misfortune, including key injuries to Micah McFadden<\/a>, Malik Nabers<\/a>, and Cam Skattebo<\/a>. Things should subside in \u201826 with players healthy and John Harbaugh coming in to clean up the culture. Yet, the roster is far from complete. They only three selections in the first four rounds to address things:.<\/p>\n

Giants Draft Picks:<\/p>\n

Round 6:\u00a0Pick 192\u00a0\u2013 from Dolphins<\/p>\n

Round 6:\u00a0Pick 193\u00a0\u2013 from Cowboys<\/p>\n

After a busy, yet not exactly mountain-moving offseason, the direction the G-Men will be going in this year\u2019s draft is a bit clearer. They added Isaiah Likely<\/a>, veteran linebacker Tremaine Edmunds<\/a>, two high-upside receivers in Darnell Mooney<\/a> and Calvin Austin<\/a> III, and addressed the secondary depth as well. \u200b<\/p>\n

It will be hard for the Giants to squander the fifth overall pick. It\u2019s Days 2 and 3 where the Giants have to win the draft. General Manager Joe Schoen and Head Coach John Harbaugh must work in tandem to address these key positions.<\/p>\n

Giants Positions of Need:Giants Key Draft Targets:Sonny Styles<\/a> \u2013 LB \u2013 Ohio State<\/p>\n

The Giants can\u2019t lose with any of the top prospects in this range. Whether it be Caleb Downs<\/a>, Carnell Tate<\/a>, or Jeremiyah Love<\/a> (I know\u2026 groan).<\/p>\n

Styles\u2019 play and impeccable combine results fit Harbaugh\u2019s structure for the Giants\u2019 roster \u2013 more physicality. Styles is a strong, versatile defender who can line up virtually anywhere. He is day-one ready to add to the dynamic pass-rush while also addressing the ground control concerns. He would be a great selection at No. 5, if he makes it there.<\/p>\n

Avieon Terrell<\/a> \u2013 CB \u2013 Clemson<\/p>\n

If the Giants select Caleb Downs at No. 5, this pick looks different. Regardless, they should be defensively minded in each of the first two rounds. Terrell is another physical, relentless competitor who isn\u2019t afraid to challenge himself by locking down the nation\u2019s best receivers.<\/p>\n

He lacks height and weight, so he will concede catches to bigger wideouts. But he has good enough ball-tracking skill and punch-out technique to make up for it with 11 pass breakups and five forced fumbles \u2013 a Clemson single-season record. If he drops out of the first round and falls to New York, the Giants should snatch him.<\/p>\n

Skyler Bell<\/a> \u2013 WR \u2013 University of Connecticut<\/p>\n

The Giants still need another receiver to pair with Nabers, especially with Wan\u2019Dale Robinson, as well as several other ex-Giants, heading to Tennessee to reunite with Brian Daboll.<\/p>\n

Bell fits the bill for another high-upside pairing. An impressive 41-inch vertical adds to his smaller catch radius. He is a versatile and explosive receiver who can operate out wide and in the slot and is exceptional after the catch. The Giants should target Bell in Round 4.<\/p>\n
