The Miami Dolphins<\/a> traded Minkah Fitzpatrick<\/a>, lost Elijah Campbell to the New York Giants in free agency<\/a> and still have Ashtyn Davis sitting unsigned on the market.<\/p>\n

While Miami has brought in veterans Lonnie Johnson<\/a>, Ronnie Harrison<\/a> and Zayne Anderson<\/a> to help fill out the room, they could still use more help, which is probably why they’re looking at safety prospects in the 2026 NFL draft.<\/p>\n

According to Ryan Fowler,<\/a> the Dolphins<\/a> are hosting LSU safety A.J. Haulcy for a top-30 visit.<\/p>\n

Haulcy, 22, was a three-star recruit out of Thurgood Marshall High School in Missouri City, Texas, before committing to New Mexico for the 2022 season. He spent one year at New Mexico, transferred to Houston for two years and finished with a final season at LSU.<\/p>\n

In four seasons of college ball, Haulcy appeared in 48 games and recorded 347 tackles, 19 passes defensed, 10 interceptions, four forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. He also earned All-Conference honors thrice in three different conferences and was named an All-American in 2025.<\/p>\n

At this point in the process, Haulcy is projected to go late in the first round, meaning the Dolphins could grab him at No. 30 if they’re interested. With Harrison likely playing more linebacker and Johnson helping out at cornerback, Miami should target a safety somewhat early, and Haulcy could be the guy.<\/p>\n
