Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Seattle Seahawks<\/a> fans and fans across the country.<\/p>\n

As we inch closer to the 2026 NFL Draft, the speculation about the Seattle Seahawks\u2019 draft capital is beginning to heat up. Will the Seahawks keep their No. 32 selection? Will they trade down? How many draft picks will they have in total?<\/p>\n

Among the fans who voted in the latest Reacts survey, 96 percent predict that Seattle will either stick with its No. 32 selection or trade out of the first round entirely to get more picks. If the front office opts to go the trade route, it would be John Schneider\u2019s first time trading down in the first round (or trading anywhere within this round) in quite a while.<\/p>\n

The 2019 draft marks the last time the Seahawks traded a first-round pick, dealing the No. 21 selection to Green Bay for three of the Packers\u2019 picks in that year\u2019s draft. If Seattle were to trade out of the first round entirely, it would be left without a top-round selection for the first time since 2021. This is perhaps one of Schneider\u2019s most pivotal decisions to make heading into next month\u2019s draft.<\/p>\n

At the moment, it is very likely that the Seahawks will have at least four picks to work with in the 2026 draft. As of this moment, Seattle\u2019s draft order consists of<\/a> a first-round selection (32nd overall), a second-round pick (64th overall), a third-rounder (No. 96), and a sixth-round pick from the Cleveland Browns (No. 188).<\/p>\n

Nearly three quarters of the survey responses said that the Seahawks would end up with more than four picks in this year\u2019s draft, which is certainly within the realm of possibility if Seattle were to trade the No. 32 overall selection. If Schneider were to go down this route, he could orchestrate a trade similar to that of 2019, when the Seahawks sent the No. 21 pick to the Packers for their first-rounder (No. 30) and two fourth-round selections (Nos. 114 and 118).<\/p>\n

Seattle has had no fewer than eight picks in each draft since 2022, with 2021 marking the team\u2019s last time with less than four selections. In the event that the Seahawks were to trade out of the first round, the best course of action would be to acquire some picks in return.<\/p>\n
