The Pittsburgh Steelers have two first round offensive tackles on their roster in Broderick Jones and Troy Fautanu. Could the position be in play for pick number 21 in this year’s draft?

In Trevor Sikkema’s latest first round mock draft for Bleacher Report, Pittsburgh is paired with Clemson offensive tackle Blake Miller, in what would be the third OT taken in four seasons for the Steelers.

“I’m going to give the Steelers more of a long-term pick here. Let’s go Blake Miller,” Sikkema said in his video mock draft. “He’s got 54 starts under his belt. He has developed more and more. He has gotten stronger as the years go on and all those starts at right tackle.

“He can play right tackle and you could flip Troy Fautanu back to left tackle where he played at Washington if you don’t believe in Broderick Jones to be a starter for you anymore.”

Miller had a phenomenal performance at the Combine and his draft stock has risen accordingly. His athleticism was on display as he ran a 5.04 40-yard dash with a 10-yard split of 1.75 seconds. He recorded a 32″ vertical and posted 32 reps on the bench press. His quick hands and athleticism are his best traits and he projects to be selected from the late first round to the early second round.

His durability is also a key strength as he never missed a game while at Clemson.

Tackle isn’t one of the most glaring needs for Pittsburgh with Fautanu and Jones still in the mix and Dylan Cook demonstrating last season that he is more than capable of playing meaningful snaps if called upon. If the Steelers elect to pick Miller (or any other tackle for that matter) in the first round, it would be a sign of the lack of faith they have in Broderick Jones to be a long-term answer at the position.

While Jones’s neck injury and the associated timeline complicates the discussion, the decision to invest a first round pick in a tackle for the third time in four seasons would send a clear message.

Wide receiver, offensive guard or even quarterback are all positions of need for the Steelers that, from the outside looking in, appear to be greater than tackle. While you can never have enough quality offensive linemen, if the Steelers elect to bolster their line with another tackle in the first round, it will have a domino effect on their other recent selections.

And it may spell the end of Broderick Jones in Pittsburgh.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have two first round offensive tackles on their roster in Broderick Jones and Troy Fautanu.…

[2055
4955,29145,8226,465,7,6,520,57,2360,426,9096,12356
post-840607","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-pittsburgh-steelers","tag-2026-nfl-draft","tag-blake-miller","tag-bleacher-report","tag-broderick-jones","tag-football","tag-nfl","tag-pittsburgh","tag-pittsburgh-steelers","tag-pittsburghsteelers","tag-steelers","tag-trevor-sikkema","tag-troy-fautanu
["GET
