Brown Saga: Howie Roseman\u2019s Next Chapter in Phoenix"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Eagles general manager <a href=\"https:\/\/www.si.com\/nfl\/eagles\/onsi\/news\/how-good-is-the-eagles-howie-roseman-ask-his-peers-01kjjdsyjpt0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Howie Roseman<\/a> is scheduled to speak with reporters at the NFL\u2019s annual spring meeting on Sunday in Phoenix.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>The session is almost certain to include an \u201cupdate\u201d on<a href=\"https:\/\/www.si.com\/nfl\/eagles\/onsi\/philadelphia-eagles-aj-brown-trade-rumors-contract-draft\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> A.J. Brown <\/a>\u2014 and it will likely sound very familiar to what Roseman said before and during the scouting combine. That back-and-forth is expected to continue until Brown is either traded or the NFL trade deadline passes this season.<\/p>\n<p>To recap, here\u2019s what Roseman said in February:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s really hard to find great players. I think A.J. is a great player. From my perspective, we\u2019re looking to improve in all areas, and you don\u2019t do that by subtracting.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also added important context:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think you go into the league year listening to offers for everything and anything. I don\u2019t think that you can go into any conversation with anyone and just shoot things down without hearing what they have to say.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Since then, Eagles On SI and other outlets have reported that the New England Patriots have shown genuine interest in Brown \u2014 interest that is reciprocated. <\/p>\n<p>Brown\u2019s agent, Jimmy Sexton, was actively soliciting offers at the scouting combine in Indianapolis.
