Aaron Rodgers waited behind Brett Favre for three seasons. The former, who most recently played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and is keeping them waiting for a decision on his future, seems to still be following the latter\u2019s lead.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think Rodgers is playing again, and I think the Steelers are being coy because there\u2019s reason to,\u201d Eisen said<\/a> Friday. \u201cThey\u2019re keeping the door open for him. I don\u2019t know if June is the time. Who knows what\u2019s going on? I feel like it\u2019s every year. It\u2019s so crazy how he mirrors pretty much everything about (Brett) Favre\u2019s career. Everything about Favre\u2019s career. Since being the guy who had to wait for Favre to leave for him to get his shot. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s unreal that we\u2019re now in the waiting game of \u2018Is he? Is he not?\u2019 like we did with Favre \u2014 after he went to the Jets. Just like Favre. It\u2019s crazy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rodgers, a first-round pick in the 2005 NFL Draft, signaled that Favre\u2019s time with the Green Bay Packers was nearing its end. Favre held Rodgers off until deciding to retire \u2014 for the first time \u2014 in 2008. Favre called off his retirement twice, and his indecision during the later years of his career became a subject of jest. <\/p>\n

Rodgers, meanwhile, hasn\u2019t sat in front of media and called it quits, but he did wait until June to join the Steelers last year.<\/p>\n

Before landing in the Steel City, Rodgers spent two seasons with the New York Jets, the same franchise to which Favre was traded after a long tenure quarterbacking the Green Bay Packers. However, after tearing his Achilles during his initial game with the Jets, Rodgers spent one more season in the shadow of the Empire State Building than Favre did. Neither led the snakebitten team to the postseason.<\/p>\n
