For now, the starting job appears to belong to Brandel, though third-year center <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kare11.com\/video\/sports\/locked-on\/lo-minnesota\/vikings-show\/how-blake-brandel-could-succeed-as-minnesota-vikings-center\/535-dbfef63a-8c33-48eb-a3cd-23726759477a\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"(opens in a new tab)\">Michael Jurgens<\/a> might contest that this summer.<\/p>\n<p>But if the Vikings draft one of these men in the <a href=\"https:\/\/vikingsterritory.com\/2026\/news\/top_news\/final-vikings-mock-draft-march-2026\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"(opens in a new tab)\">draft\u2019s first four rounds<\/a>, Brandel could be back to his do-everything OL role:<\/p>\n<p>Connor Lew (Auburn)<\/p>\n<p>Sam Hecht (Kansas State)<\/p>\n<p>Jake Slaughter (Florida)<\/p>\n<p>Logan Jones (Iowa)<\/p>\n<p>Parker Brailsford (Alabama)<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s worth noting that Brandel improved each week last season at center in relief of Kelly.<\/p>\n<p>Tai Felton | WR<\/p>\n<p>Felton played 46 offensive snaps as a rookie, used primarily as a special teamer, which is fine, but most onlookers thought a 3rd-Round wideout would be used on offense. No cigar.<\/p>\n<p>The Vikings didn\u2019t re-sign <a href=\"https:\/\/vikingsterritory.com\/2026\/news\/analysis\/jalen-nailor-raiders-jj-mccarthy\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"(opens in a new tab)\">Jalen Nailor<\/a>, as the speedster vamoosed for Las Vegas, his hometown, to be the Raiders\u2019 WR1 or WR2. That leaves Felton in a league of his own at WR3. By trade, he\u2019s a practice squader who was promoted to the active roster last year. Most fans agree that Kevin O\u2019Connell\u2019s team needs an early-round running back from the draft for the first time since the Dalvin Cook and Alexander Mattison days.
