As the Minnesota Vikings<\/a> move forward with the offseason, the roster already looks very different from last season. Minnesota has allowed a few key veteran defensive players to be let go, while the offense brought in veteran quarterback Kyler Murray<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But the Vikings salary cap situation remains a problem, and this could see the front office look to make some other moves. Veteran pass rusher\/linebacker Jonathan Greenard<\/a> has already requested a trade, and Minnesota<\/a> may need to play ball due to the need to cut salary.<\/p>\n

Greenard has been an effective pass rusher for this team, but his numbers have started to decline a little over the last few years. However, there seems to be some teams interested in his services, even if there may be a holdup in terms of a trade right now.<\/p>\n

One team that could look into a trade for Greenard is the Baltimore Ravens<\/a>, who are in the middle of changing the roster a little. With new head coach Jesse Minter now running the show, Baltimore has started to build the roster out under his watch.<\/p>\n

The team already signed star pass rusher Trey Hendrickson<\/a> to a massive free agency contract, but the defense could still use a little more of a boost. After missing the playoffs a year ago, the Ravens may want to add multiple guys to the mix, giving themselves more of a chance to win.<\/p>\n

Greenard could give this team a reliable pass rusher to pair with Hendrickson, and it would make life very tough for opposing teams. Historically, the Ravens have found the most success when having dominating defenses, and it seems that Minter wants to bring this back to life.<\/p>\n

In fact, Baltimore wanted to bring both Hendrickson and star Maxx Crosby to town, but due to an injury to Crosby, the team rescinded<\/a> an agreed trade for the edge rusher. Baltimore could look to go after Greenard instead, and it would give them a similar pass rushing duo for the 2026 season.<\/p>\n

Going to a new team could see Greenard\u2019s numbers get back to form, and the Ravens may benefit from having multiple guys who can get into the backfield. Prior to 2025, Greenard had posted two straight years of registering at least 12 sacks, so the production isn\u2019t that far off.<\/p>\n

Baltimore could offer the Vikings a mid-round draft pick or two to get the job done. Minnesota would slash salary, while also landing some extra draft capital for a player who seems to not want to be with the team anymore.<\/p>\n
