{"id":84241,"date":"2025-05-28T03:03:14","date_gmt":"2025-05-28T03:03:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/84241\/"},"modified":"2025-05-28T03:03:14","modified_gmt":"2025-05-28T03:03:14","slug":"michigan-qbs-bryce-underwood-denard-robinson-on-ea-cover","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/84241\/","title":{"rendered":"Michigan QBs Bryce Underwood, Denard Robinson on EA cover"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For the second year in a row, one of the most buzzed-about video game releases of the year features <a href=\"http:\/\/thewolverine.com\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Michigan Wolverines<\/a> representation.<\/p>\n<p>Freshman quarterback <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/db\/bryce-underwood-15949\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bryce Underwood<\/a> and former quarterback\/staffer Denard Robinson will be on the deluxe edition cover of EA Sports College Football 26, one year after running back Donovan Edwards was on the cover of both the standard and deluxe editions. The standard edition cover for this year\u2019s game features sophomore wide receivers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/db\/ryan-williams-152310\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ryan Williams<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/db\/jeremiah-smith-60214\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jeremiah Smith<\/a> of Alabama and Ohio State, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Underwood, who was the No. 1 overall recruit in the 2025 class and the only freshman to be included, is the fifth Wolverine in the history of the game to appear on the cover, along with Edwards, Charles Woodson (NCAA Football 99), Desmond Howard (NCAA Football 06) and Robinson (NCAA Football 14).<\/p>\n<p>The game will be released worldwide on July 10 and is available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLast year, when we brought back the pride, pageantry, atmospheres and traditions of College Football, the response from fans was overwhelming,\u201d said Evan Dexter, VP, Franchise Strategy &amp; Marketing, EA SPORTS College Football. \u201cWith College Football 26, we\u2019re celebrating our sophomore season with two generational sophomore wide receivers on the cover and we can\u2019t wait for the world to experience even more heart and authenticity across athletes, stadiums, coaches and fans. Tune in this Thursday to see what makes it so special.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the Michigan reps, the deluxe edition cover features head coaches in OSU\u2019s Ryan Day, Notre Dame\u2019s Marcus Freeman and Georgia\u2019s Kirby Smart. Other players included are Clemson QB Cade Klubnik, Notre Dame RB Jeremiyah Love, and Penn State RB Nick Singleton, embodying the culture of the sport. Reggie Bush and Tim Tebow join Robinson as former college stars on the cover.<\/p>\n<p>While in Los Angeles for the game\u2019s photo shoot in March, Underwood also swung by The Rich Eisen Show for an interview with the eponymous host and Michigan alum. Neither man shied away from a discussion surrounding his potential bid for the starting job in year one.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHonestly, I just know I gotta be myself,\u201d Underwood said. \u201cThat\u2019s been my main thing. I\u2019m going to work for everything I feel I\u2019ve earned. \u2026 And my initials [are] B.U., so my parents always kept that in my head. It\u2019s like, \u2018Be You, no matter what.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Underwood knows the hype that comes with his arrival in Ann Arbor, but calls it more of a blessing than anything else.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHonestly, my mom called it \u2018Bless stress.\u2019 All the work that I\u2019ve put in, it\u2019s just been a blessing to be through what I\u2019m going through at this moment.
