The Carolina Panthers<\/a> might have themselves quite the connection on offense.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, the squad took the practice field for the very first outing of this year’s team organized activities (OTAs). The session, of course, included third-year quarterback Bryce Young\u2014who chatted a bit about one of his newest wide receivers, Tetairoa McMillan.<\/p>\n

“I’ve seen him, I’ve played against him in high school, I’ve seen him and followed his career ever since high school,” Young told reporters<\/a> following the workout. “So I’ve always, whether it was playing against him or from afar, that was someone I always had a ton of respect for. I loved his game, I’ve been around him before that too, heard great things, loved his work ethic, had seen him live.”<\/p>\n

Well, Young’s teammates got a chance to see the 6-foot-4, 219-pound pass catcher live as well on Tuesday, and here’s what they got . . .<\/p>\n

Carolina selected<\/a> McMillan with the eighth overall pick of the 2025 NFL draft. The All-American is the second wideout taken in the first round by the Panthers in as many years, joining 2024’s 32nd overall pick Xavier Legette.<\/p>\n

McMillan spent three seasons at the University of Arizona, where he amassed 213 receptions for 3,423 yards and 26 touchdowns.<\/p>\n
