The Arizona Cardinals<\/a> have done some work this offseason in free agency, but have not improved their roster much. At most positions, they could and probably should add players in the NFL draft.<\/p>\n

But looking at each position, where in the draft should they be looking? While teams always want to stick to their draft board, sometimes it just doesn’t make sense to draft a position early.<\/p>\n

We will look at each position group and determine what need level the Cardinals have \u2014 is it in Round 1? Is it on Day 2? What about Day 3?<\/p>\n

Let’s look at offensive tackle.<\/p>\n

Cardinals draft need level: Offensive tackle<\/p>\n

The Cardinals are set at left tackle with Paris Johnson. Assuming they exercise his fifth-year option, he will be with the team at least two more years.<\/p>\n

Right tackle is a bigger question, but they have many options.<\/p>\n

Jonah Williams and Kelvin Beachum have not been re-signed, and they added Elijah Wilkinson, the 17-game starter at right tackle in 2025 for the Atlanta Falcons. They also signed Matt Pryor, Oli Udoh and have Christian Jones and Josh Fryar returning.<\/p>\n

None of those options are inspiring, but they could get through a season with them.<\/p>\n

Draft need\/priority: Rounds 1-2 would be preferred. They have been projected to take a tackle in many mock drafts with the third overall pick. If they take one third overall or with their second-round selection, fans will feel pretty solid about the position. <\/p>\n
