As the Baltimore Ravens are expected to search for offensive line help in the 2026 NFL Draft, there are plenty of options available to them. While the interior line class isn\u2019t lucrative, the tackle class is talented and offers versatility<\/a>. It\u2019ll be a pivotal few days for Baltimore.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, many of those prospects come with high risks. Limited arm length is always one aspect to watch out for, and prospects that lack short-area quickness and strong footwork may give Ravens fans flashbacks of last year\u2019s offensive line troubles. It\u2019s a trait that the team should probably try to avoid.<\/p>\n

Back in 2022, the Ravens invested in Daniel Faalele with a fourth-round selection. It\u2019s safe to say things didn\u2019t work out with the massive lineman, as they’re rightfully moving on from him<\/a>. Now, Baltimore reportedly has a top-30 visit<\/a> with Memphis’ Travis Burke, a 6-foot-9 tackle. Things could definitely be different from Faalele, but selecting a tackle whose main trait is his size may have fans reliving their nightmares.<\/p>\n

Baltimore Ravens should stay away from Travis Burke in 2026 NFL Draft<\/p>\n

Burke isn\u2019t the same exact player as Faalele. While Faalele weighed in at 384 pounds at the NFL Combine, Burke is 325 pounds. However, the main flaws in the draft are similar. Both possess laboring footwork, inconsistency reaching blocks upfield on time, and average-to-subpar block sustaining. <\/p>\n

For Faalele, he was never able to overcome those glaring issues. He was perhaps the worst offensive lineman in football in 2025. The struggles were nonstop; he constantly put embarrassing reps on tape<\/a>, and very rarely had strong outings. He was a thorn in the offense\u2019s side all year, and that brand of player should be something that departs along with John Harbaugh.<\/p>\n

Will Burke see a similar transition to the NFL? Maybe not. To be fair to him, the Memphis product is an intriguing prospect. Obviously, he\u2019s got the size and arm length to dominate, and he\u2019s got good flexibility for a tackle at his size, pairing that with strong hands. However, on the opposite side of things, his footwork can be a red flag.<\/p>\n

Burke shows moments where he overextends and lurches, losing balance against opposing pass rushers. He\u2019s slower on his feet and can\u2019t react quickly enough to match speed consistently. Reaching blocks laterally can also be an issue for him.<\/p>\n

For new offensive coordinator Declan Doyle\u2019s offense, Burke may not be the best fit. Doyle runs a lot of outside zone designs, and adding a player who can find problems climbing to the second level on time wouldn\u2019t make a ton of sense. There\u2019s talent there, but the fit could pose an issue.
