CINCINNATI (WKRC) – The Cincinnati Bengals had organized team activities on Tuesday, amidst ongoing challenges with key players.<\/p>\n
Defensive end Trey Hendrickson remained absent from the field. Hendrickson has been steadfast in his decision not to play without a long-term deal. He is currently in the final year of his contract, which includes a base salary of approximately $16 million.<\/p>\n
Adding to the Bengals’ concerns, first-round draft pick Shemar Stewart, selected 17th overall, has yet to sign his contract. Stewart’s absence from practice will continue until an agreement is reached.<\/p>\n
On the field, the Bengals’ offense showed familiar form. Quarterback Joe Burrow was precise during practice, particularly in the 7-on-7 drills. Burrow completed 9 out of 10 passes, with the only incompletion resulting from a dropped ball by Tee Higgins, attributed to the rainy conditions.<\/p>\n
Defensively, the Bengals showcased their projected first-team lineup. The secondary featured Cam Taylor-Britt, Geno Stone, Jordan Battle, and DJ Turner, with Josh Newton and Jalen Davis rotating in. Davis made a notable interception against the second-team offense. Logan Wilson and rookie Demetrius Knight Jr. took most of the first-team reps at linebacker, while offseason acquisition Oren Burks mixed in.<\/p>\n
The Bengals will continue their OTAs on Wednesday and Thursday, and again from June 2-4, before commencing mandatory minicamp on June 10.
