The Denver Broncos<\/a> haven’t been big players in free agency, with Jaylen Waddle the only “big” signing Sean Payton’s team has made.<\/p>\n

For a unit that was one game away from the Super Bowl last season, that approach is a little odd, but there is still time to add quality to the roster.<\/p>\n

The defense appears set, but there are some questions at linebacker, and it is here where Denver could make a shrewd signing.<\/p>\n

Bleacher Report’s Gary Davenport thinks the Broncos should look to bring in Bobby Wagner.<\/p>\n

“At this point in his 14-year professional career, Bobby Wagner isn’t the force he once was\u2014the 2025 season was just the second time the 35-year-old didn’t make the Pro Bowl in well over a decade,” Davenport wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Wagner wouldn’t be especially expensive, and the 10-time Pro Bowler would likely relish taking a run at a second Super Bowl win.”<\/p>\n

Wagner a defensive stud on and off the field<\/p>\n

The big question is, will Denver want a veteran linebacker who is getting on in age? If Wagner is a bit-part player, then sure.<\/p>\n

After all, the Washington Commanders<\/a> haven’t brought him back for a reason.<\/p>\n

But Wagner’s leadership both on and off the field could be a nice ingredient to bring to Denver’s already star-studded defense.<\/p>\n

It would be a cheap, no-risk deal for the Broncos as they look to make the Super Bowl in 2026.<\/p>\n
