{"id":844127,"date":"2026-03-31T02:27:27","date_gmt":"2026-03-31T02:27:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/844127\/"},"modified":"2026-03-31T02:27:27","modified_gmt":"2026-03-31T02:27:27","slug":"rehabbing-malik-nabers-has-sights-set-on-upcoming-giants-workouts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/844127\/","title":{"rendered":"Rehabbing Malik Nabers has sights set on upcoming Giants&#8217; workouts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PHOENIX \u2014 The Giants open up their offseason workouts April 7 and wide receiver Malik Nabers, rehabbing from ACL surgery, has told the team he plans on attending the start of the voluntary program.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s going to be great to see him next week,\u2019\u2019 general manager Joe Schoen said Monday from the NFL Annual League Meeting. \u201cSee him, let our doctors get our hands on him.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Nabers has been working out in Miami. When the Giants front office and scouting contingent last week was at the University of Miami\u2019s pro day, assistant general manager Brandon Brown took the opportunity to have dinner with Nabers. <\/p>\n<p>The feeling is Nabers will be ready to resume normal football activities well in advance of the start of the regular season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe is in great spirits,\u2019\u2019 Schoen said. \u201cHe feels good. Like I always say, we\u2019ll see, as long as there\u2019s not a setback, or whatever it may be, optimistic Week 1, he\u2019ll be ready. Charles Wenzelberg \/ New York Post<\/p>\n<p>The Giants this past Friday got a look at RB Cam Skattebo, another player coming back from an injury and surgery that prematurely ended his 2025 season. Skattebo attended Arizona State\u2019s pro day \u2014 he starred at the school \u2014 and Schoen said he saw Skattebo \u201cjogging around, running, jumping on ex-teammates\u2019 backs and stuff like that.\u2019\u2019 Skattebo suffered a dislocated ankle, fibula fracture and a ruptured deltoid ligament in a Week 8 loss in Philadelphia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s declaring himself, he\u2019s ready to go,\u2019\u2019 Schoen said. \u201cWe\u2019ll ease him back. Obviously we don\u2019t play till September, but he\u2019s in good headspace and physically as well.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Skattebo recently made headlines for bizarre comments on the \u201cBring the Juice\u2019\u2019 podcast saying that <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/03\/21\/sports\/giants-cam-skattebo-says-cte-asthma-are-fake-in-stunning-video\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">CTE head trauma and asthma were not real ailments<\/a>. He and his wife Ingrid had dinner at Keen\u2019s Steakhouse on Feb. 21 and then took in the Knicks-Rockets game at Madison Square Garden.
