Jason Pierre-Paul wants to play for the New York Giants<\/a> again.<\/p>\n

After a year away from the NFL<\/a>, Pierre-Paul returned to play three games for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers<\/a> last season. The 37-year-old is now campaigning for a second stint with the G-Men.<\/p>\n

The pass-rusher pitched himself to the Giants in a social media post<\/a> on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

“@nygiants I’m still available and ready to take on some OT\u2019s and dominate in run-stop football the GIANTS WAY,” Pierre-Paul wrote. “Let\u2019s make it happen, Giant Fans, Giant Nation. Let\u2019s go!! I know I know I know.”<\/p>\n

Sixteen years ago, the Giants drafted Pierre-Paul with the No. 15 pick. He notched 16.5 sacks as an All-Pro in 2011 before leading New York to a Super Bowl<\/a> title.<\/p>\n

JPP compiled 58.5 sacks in eight seasons with the Giants, putting him 10th on the franchise’s all-time leaderboard. He tallied 432 tackles, seven fumbled recoveries, and returned both of his interceptions for touchdowns.<\/p>\n

The former South Florida standout missed half of the 2015 season after suffering a serious hand injury in a fireworks incident on July 4. He recovered and spent two more years with the Giants before joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he notched 30.5 sacks from 2018 to 2020 and won another Super Bowl.<\/p>\n

Pierre-Paul spent another season in Tampa Bay before playing 14 games with the Baltimore Ravens<\/a> in 2022. He recorded two tackles in three games with the Miami Dolphins<\/a> and New Orleans Saints<\/a> the following year before sitting out the 2024 season.<\/p>\n

Tampa Bay signed Pierre-Paul to the practice squad and elevated him for each of last season’s final three games. The 6-foot-5, 275-pounder didn’t record any stats beyond one pass defense in 38 combined snaps.<\/p>\n

It’s been a while since the three-time Pro Bowler made a significant impact, but Pierre-Paul aims to play a 16th season. He announced those intentions<\/a> as free agency began earlier this month.<\/p>\n

“Still got the fire, still got the speed,” he wrote. “I\u2019m explosive, just waiting for the call. Let\u2019s make it happen.”<\/p>\n
