It feels like forever since the Baltimore Ravens<\/a> have had\u00a0Nnamdi Madubuike on the field, taking quarterbacks’ souls for fun.<\/p>\n

And in truth, it has been a while, with the two-time Pro Bowler playing just two games last season due to a neck injury.<\/p>\n

There are reportedly concerns that the star defensive tackle might not play football again, which isn’t great.<\/p>\n

And Ravens head coach Jesse Minter addressed the situation with Madubuike at the annual owners meeting.<\/p>\n

“I know that he’s in a great place mentally,” Minter said via ESPN’s Jamison Hensley<\/a>. “He’s doing a lot of stuff. That’s still a kind of a ‘To be determined’ thing, I would say. And so, as an organization, you certainly have plan A, plan B, plan C, plan D all the way down the line. We’ll be excited, whichever way that goes.”<\/p>\n

Madubuike to play in 2026?<\/p>\n

That would be the hope from the franchise and fans, but we are all about player health and safety, and it isn’t known if the stud defensive tackle will return.<\/p>\n

Minter stated, “I’ll leave that up to him,” when asked about No. 92 playing in 2026, so it still seems like a long way away from being discussed.<\/p>\n

But the Ravens have backup plans, as they did last season when\u00a0Madubuike played just two games.<\/p>\n

Yes, Baltimore would love to have No. 92 back on the field\u00a0as the dominant force he once was, but health after football is far more important.<\/p>\n
