The New England Patriots<\/a> were arguably the best team in the AFC last season, and quarterback Drake Maye<\/a> was a large reason why.<\/p>\n Maye had a breakout season, leading the Patriots to the Super Bowl and finishing second in MVP voting to Los Angeles Rams<\/a> QB Matthew Stafford<\/a>.<\/p>\n The 23-year-old signal-caller threw for 4,394 yards, 31 touchdowns, an 8 interceptions with a 113.5 passer rating.<\/p>\n Maye set the bar high in his second NFL<\/a> season, and he\u2019ll have sky-high expectations heading into his third.<\/p>\n Maye Drastically Changes His Appearance GettyNew England Patriots QB Drake Maye<\/p>\n Though he likely needed a decent amount of time to get over the Patriots\u2019 Super Bowl letdown, Maye\u2019s offseason has consisted of more than just sulking.<\/p>\n On Monday he was all over social media because he shaved his locks and rocked a buzz cut in support of charity. Maye\u2019s head shaving took place at the 13th annual Saving by Shaving event, which raised $4 million for the Boston Children\u2019s Hospital, according to event organizers.<\/p>\n \u201cWe love kids,\u201d Maye told reporters. \u201cThey\u2019re oftentimes the biggest fans of us players, and I think it\u2019s just such a cool experience to be able to shine a positive light and to be there for them and help any way that we can.\u201d<\/p>\n Maye\u2019s new look took fans by surprise, many of whom hit the comment section on social media to share their strong reactions, which brought about a mixed bag from fans.<\/p>\n \u201cThe league ain\u2019t ready for Drake Maye and his shaved head, aura +100,\u201d one fan wrote.<\/p>\n \u201cHe has too much aura,\u201d another agreed.<\/p>\n \u201cBuzz cut \u274e.
