Cleveland\u2019s new head coach missed the annual coaches\u2019 picture at the NFL\u2019s owners meeting because he got the time wrong and was trying to get a haircut. Not only did he miss the picture, but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cleveland.com\/browns\/2026\/03\/todd-monken-solves-the-mystery-of-missing-his-1st-nfl-coachs-photo.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">he skipped the coaches\u2019 meeting prior so he could get his haircut<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup _1teeyfa8 ls9zuh1\">Monken was actually getting a haircut expressly for Monday\u2019s photo, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/MikeGarafolo\/status\/2038687429239218504?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">which is supposed to feature the coaches from all 32 teams.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup _1teeyfa8 ls9zuh1\">He thought he had it timed up perfectly, because the photo was scheduled for noon Pacific time. It was even written on the agenda that way.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup _1teeyfa8 ls9zuh1\">The photo was snapped immediately after a coaches meeting, which let out early. The problem is, Monken skipped the meeting, in part to get the haircut.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Does Monken missing the picture matter? Of course not. Sean McVay also wasn\u2019t there. The issue is that the Browns history is full of \u201cLOL\u201d moments at the expense of the team. Also, for Monken to share the reason he missed, and for it to be so simple and silly, just adds to the embarrassment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Do you care at all about why Monken missed the picture? At this point, do you just expect silly, stupid and\/or embarrassing decisions by the team or are you still surprised?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"And those were mostly off-the-field decisions.
