Below you\u2019ll find a list of teams that I think are most prioritizing adding a playmaker in the 2026 NFL Draft. It is by no means an exhaustive list \u2014 if we\u2019re being real, just about every team is looking to add some pop to their offense in some form or fashion.<\/p>\n
But these teams stand out as offenses where I\u2019ll be stunned if there isn\u2019t some new player added at wide receiver, tight end and\/or running back by the end of the draft. This can help us identify which landing spots are good destinations for fantasy football prospects or which teams will need to add a veteran or will need one to step up from the depth chart if no rookies are taken in April.<\/p>\n

Major overhauls awaitMiami Dolphins<\/p>\n
The Dolphins tore their wide receiver room down to the studs this offseason, with holdover Malik Washington and a host of castoffs the only remaining members. If the Dolphins are going to get anything close to viable starting passing output from Malik Willis, they can\u2019t walk into the season with this wide receiver room.<\/p>\n
This front office came over from Green Bay, an organization that typically prefers to take multiple stabs at this position on Days 2 and 3 and rarely invests in Round 1 options. We\u2019ll see how much they want to hang onto those creeds with a pair of first-round picks in April.<\/p>\n

Cleveland Browns<\/p>\n
The Browns are set at running back and tight end but their wide receiver room is one of the weakest in the league. Jerry Jeudy is painfully miscast as a No. 1 receiver, Cedric Tillman has flashed but can\u2019t stay healthy and Isaiah Bond is a developmental speed option. The Browns have two first-round picks and one of them could be a wideout. How we assess that player\u2019s volume projection against a murky offensive ecosystem and quarterback room will be a difficult debate in dynasty drafts.<\/p>\n
Atlanta Falcons<\/p>\n
Much like the Browns above, Atlanta doesn\u2019t need to examine big names at running back or tight end. However, they only have Drake London as an established starter at receiver. I\u2019m personally fascinated by a possible Jahan Dotson redemption arc as a sleeper No. 2 receiver for this team, but I might be the only human on Earth who feels that way. The Falcons don\u2019t have a first-round pick but could look to add a receiver from a deep crop of options on Day 2. It\u2019s a room beyond London that should have multiple new faces come training camp.<\/p>\n

Need help at multiple positionsNew York Jets<\/p>\n
The Jets don\u2019t need to address running back with Breece Hall locked down in New York with the franchise tag. However, they need to look at multiple pass-catchers. Guys like AD Mitchell at X-receiver and Year 2 tight end Mason Taylor are acceptable starters at their respective positions. There is just not much depth behind them and neither should prevent you from taking a talented rookie if the value is right.<\/p>\n
Wide receiver feels like more of a need than tight end. Getting someone who can rotate between flanker and slot with Garrett Wilson while Mitchell holds down the X should be a priority. How well that future player projects in this environment is another debate entirely.<\/p>\n

Washington Commanders<\/p>\n
The Commanders are near the top of my list of teams that need to add more juice in both their running back room and pass-catcher group. Rachaad White was added to compete at running back on a low-cost deal and Chig Okonkwo signed a three-year deal in free agency. Neither, especially White, will prevent the team from adding more to the stable.<\/p>\n
The seventh overall pick is my favorite landing spot for Jeremiyah Love among the top-10 picks, and it’s also realistic. He\u2019d be an instant fantasy RB1 if he landed with a unit that\u2019s likely headed for more true under-center run concepts. I\u2019m still penciling in a Brandon Aiyuk addition at the wide receiver position across from Terry McLaurin, at some point. However, he\u2019s not the most reliable fixture and Washington\u2019s depth at outside receiver is shaky at the present moment.<\/p>\n
New York Giants<\/p>\n
There was plenty of smoke around the Giants adding a running back to the mix the last month or so. It didn\u2019t come in free agency; perhaps that helps arrive via the NFL Draft.<\/p>\n

Even if they ignore the backfield in favor of riding Cam Skattebo and Tyrone Tracy Jr. for another season, there is no way they can\u2019t address wideout. Malik Nabers should be back to full strength at some point during the 2026 NFL season but even when he\u2019s right, he doesn\u2019t have a true WR2 running mate. Given how inflated receiver salaries are, the Giants could look at Carnell Tate at fifth overall as a value-based selection and lock in a Tee Higgins-like complement to Nabers\u2019 Ja\u2019Marr Chase.<\/p>\n
Minnesota Vikings<\/p>\n
The need at both running back and tight end are obvious for this team. Aaron Jones Sr. and T.J. Hockenson were brought back to Minnesota but both are older players no longer at the height of their powers and likely won\u2019t be with the team in 2027. An addition at either spot would be welcomed for a team that needs to be more dynamic on offense around Justin Jefferson.<\/p>\n
Speaking of Jefferson, he\u2019s entrenched as the WR1 but No. 2 receiver Jordan Addison\u2019s contract is coming up soon and the team can\u2019t feel completely comfortable extending him after he\u2019s been in trouble off the field. Making matters worse, there is no depth behind those guys. Don\u2019t rule out a significant receiver addition, at some point.<\/p>\n

New Orleans Saints<\/p>\n
The Saints are ripe to add pass-catchers in this draft after solidifying the running back room in free agency. Chris Olave is established as the No. 1; everyone after him is a solid-contributor type, but no one who prevents you from upgrading. I can see the Saints hitting offense hard in this draft as they look to build around Tyler Shough.<\/p>\n
Tennessee Titans<\/p>\n
Tennessee added Wan\u2019Dale Robinson as their main slot receiver and restructured Calvin Ridley\u2019s deal to keep him in town. Neither move should prevent you from adding a perimeter wideout in the draft, likely on Day 2. My guess is that it will build in the trenches on either side of the ball with the fourth overall pick, but there\u2019s been enough Jeremiyah Love chatter that we can\u2019t rule him out.<\/p>\n

Los Angeles Rams<\/p>\n
The Rams were hanging out on the fringes of the A.J. Brown trade discussions and even dangled Davante Adams as a trade piece, as Sean McVay confirmed this week. It\u2019s clear the Rams have their eyes on the future of their wide receiver room, one that might be a little murkier given Puka Nacua\u2019s recent pattern of finding himself in bad headlines off the field.<\/p>\n
Regardless, the Rams are light at wide receiver behind Nacua and Adams, and merely have a solid committee at tight end. They could use more juice at either spot, and they’ve already spent big to address their defense this offseason. I won\u2019t be shocked if they call the name of a wideout at 13th overall. KC Concepcion would be perfect.<\/p>\n

Baltimore Ravens<\/p>\n
The Ravens are changing over offensive systems with Declan Doyle taking the place of Todd Monken. Doyle comes from the Sean Payton and Ben Johnson tree, which emphasizes bigger receivers who work over the middle. The Ravens have lacked that skill set for years. They also lost both Isaiah Likely and Charlie Kolar at tight end, so that room could use a refresh in the draft.<\/p>\n
Need a finishing pieceBuffalo Bills<\/p>\n
The DJ Moore trade should not be the only wide receiver addition this team makes in the offseason. Moore can still be a good starter but he isn\u2019t a No. 1 and the Bills don\u2019t have another credible option at the other outside spot. Buffalo should overcorrect with its approach to adding talent to this room after taking too many half-measures the last two offseasons. Don\u2019t rule out a receiver at 26th overall.<\/p>\n

Kansas City Chiefs<\/p>\n
The Chiefs can\u2019t walk into next season with a straight face if they field the same receiver room they did in 2025. Yes, Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy missed time and both dealt with injuries. However, even when they\u2019re at their best, they need role-catering and can\u2019t beat man coverage on a consistent basis. That turned out to be a massive problem for the Chiefs in 2025 and it was easy to see coming based on the duo\u2019s skill sets.<\/p>\n
Making matters worse, Rice has emerged as someone you can\u2019t really count on off the field. The Chiefs need to make an add for the future and present \u2014 someone who can win outside, on-ball and beat man coverage.<\/p>\n

Las Vegas Raiders<\/p>\n
The Raiders have a great tight end, a running back who will be better in this offensive system than he was as a rookie and a receiver room with some interesting options. However, they could use one X-receiver archetype to add to the wideout group. Guys like Jalen Nailor, Jack Bech and Tre Tucker can fill in roles but are either big slot or Z receivers. Adding someone who can play outside and win down the field would make this Klint Kubiak offense come alive.<\/p>\n
Seattle Seahawks<\/p>\n
The Seahawks have to make this list as they may well have the clearest opening for a starting running back in the NFL right now after letting Kenneth Walker III go. Zach Charbonnet likely won\u2019t be ready for the start of the season after a playoff ACL tear and Emanuel Wilson is a backup-level talent. I\u2019d be shocked if the value lines up for Seattle to take a back at 32nd overall but it could either trade down or address the position in Rounds 2 or 3. Whoever that player is would be a fast riser in dynasty drafts.<\/p>\n

New England Patriots<\/p>\n
My expectation is that the Eagles and Patriots will consummate an A.J. Brown trade after June 1, when his contract becomes easier to trade from a salary standpoint. If you really want me to put on the tinfoil hat, I\u2019d guess the trade has already been discussed and agreed to in principle. If I\u2019m wrong, there\u2019s no way New England leaves this year\u2019s draft without another wideout added to the mix.<\/p>\n
Philadelphia Eagles<\/p>\n
If my theory above is true, there\u2019s no way the Eagles pass on a receiver in the NFL Draft. In fact, I expect them to go very offense-heavy this year as they look to balance their budget with rookie-contract players on that side, while their young defensive superstars get close to extension territory.
