Eagles sideline reporter Devan Kaney is out at SportsRadio 94WIP amid a round of layoffs at Audacy. The cuts made Tuesday impacted personalities at stations across the country. <\/p>\n
An Audacy spokesperson confirmed Kaney’s departure, but declined to comment on the company’s plans to select a new sideline reporter for Eagles radio broadcasts. Eskin, who was with WIP for 38 years, had been embroiled in controversy for months after allegedly giving an “unwelcome kiss” to a woman at Citizens Bank Park last May. Kaney became the full-time Eagles sideline reporter<\/a> last season. <\/p>\n In addition to her game day role at WIP, Kaney was a regular co-host on the morning show with Jon Ritchie and Joe DeCamara. She also has a separate role as a weekend anchor at FOX 29 and could remain involved in Eagles broadcasts moving forward. <\/p>\n Kaney told<\/a> the Inquirer she plans to remain in the Philadelphia market. In the past, she worked\u00a0as a sideline reporter for ESPN, NBC Sports and the Philadelphia Wings, the city’s pro lacrosse team that was disbanded on Monday<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n The layoffs at Audacy come amid a broader leadership change for its stations in Philadelphia. Market Manager David Yadgaroff, who has led the company’s local stations for more than 30 years, including at predecessor CBS Radio, said last month he plans to retire at the end of May<\/a>. Audacy’s stations in Philadelphia include SportsRadio 94WIP, Talk Radio 1210, B101, 98.1 WOGL-FM and the New 96.5. <\/p>\n
