(WVLT) &#8211; Hendon Hooker is back in the Volunteer State. The VFL has signed a free agent deal with the Tennessee Titans, per multiple reports.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Hooker will join a quarterback room that features three players with starting experience in Cam Ward, Will Levis and Mitchell Trubisky.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The Detroit Lions selected Hendon Hooker in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft, but waived him ahead of the 2025 season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Since then, Hooker has spent time with the Carolina Panthers and New York Jets. He has yet to appear in a regular-season game. <\/p>\n<p><a class=\"link | text-reset d-block h-100 w-100\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wvlt.tv\/page\/wvlt-news-and-weather-apps\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_self\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"wvlt\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/EAFJZDKWSJFMFGBA5C5FOEW7NM.png\" width=\"980\" height=\"199\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">In 2022, Hooker was a frontrunner for the Heisman trophy before suffering a torn ACL against South Carolina. He completed 69.6% of his passes for 3,135 yards and 27 touchdowns. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Hooker is one of three Tennessee quarterback alums currently on NFL rosters.
