According to Gianna Han of The Banner, the Baltimore Ravens are heading to Rio de Janeiro for a regular season game. Their opponent will be the Dallas Cowboys, who have already been officially announced as a participant by the NFL. Han says the contest will take place in Week 3, meaning the Cowboys and Ravens will get a pair of games under their belt before heading abroad.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Ravens are headed to Brazil,\u201d Han said<\/a> in the report. \u201cIn Week 3, the Ravens will take on the Dallas Cowboys, who are the home team for\u00a0the first NFL game to be played in Rio de Janeiro, two league sources told The Banner.\u201d<\/p>\n Baltimore appeared to be on track to travel internationally to play a game this season. Another option was thought to be Madrid, Spain, to play the Atlanta Falcons. Either way, the Ravens were going to be playing an NFC team. Now, a rare matchup against the Cowboys gets a little extra attention.<\/p>\n Since the NFL decided to cross oceans, the Ravens have played in London twice. A trip to Wembley Stadium came in 2017, getting blown out by the Jacksonville Jaguars. But redemption came six years later when Tottenham Hotspur Stadium played host. A 24-16 victory over the Tennessee Titans came in 2023.<\/p>\n Now, a new experience is ahead of Baltimore and its fans \u2014 if they choose to travel. This will be the NFL\u2019s third-ever game in Brazil but first in Rio de Janeiro. A little bit of history for the Ravens, and against an opponent they fare well against.<\/p>\n Baltimore Ravens winners in six of seven vs. Dallas Cowboys<\/p>\n Seven games have ever taken place between the Cowboys and Ravens, all since 2000. Six of them have been won by Baltimore, including two straight. The last matchup took place in 2024. Derrick Henry<\/a> ran for 151 yards and two touchdowns in what turned into a three-point game thanks to a late comeback attempt from Dallas.<\/p>\n To find the lone Cowboys victory, you have to flashback to the rookie season of quarterback Dak Prescott<\/a>. He threw for 301 yards and three touchdowns while completing 27 of his 36 pass attempts. Six of them were to Dez Bryant<\/a>, who racked up 80 yards and two touchdowns.<\/p>\n Dallas can finally get another one back in their favor in September.
