The Minnesota Vikings<\/a> have a new starting quarterback, and depending on how the first season goes, Kyler Murray<\/a> could become coach Kevin O\u2019Connell\u2019s franchise QB. Naturally, the Vikings want Murray to have a wildly successful season that lives up to his potential as a former No. 1 overall pick. <\/p>\n

Yet, to do so, the Vikings may want to strengthen the depth of their receiving corps, especially after letting WR3 Jalen Nailor sign with the Raiders in free agency. The Vikings did make Tai Felton a third-round selection in 2025. Though, Felton didn\u2019t contribute much as a pass-catcher as a rookie, catching all three of his targets for 25 yards. <\/p>\n

Still, the Vikings likely want to add another capable pass-catcher to a top-heavy receiver group headlined by Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison. With nine selections in the 2026 NFL Draft, the Vikings could find a solution later this month. <\/p>\n

Recently, ESPN\u2019s Ben Solak<\/a> had a suggestion for who could be a \u201cperfect fit\u201d for the Vikings. Alabama\u2019s Germie Bernard. <\/p>\n

\u201cThink about what\u00a0Jauan Jennings\u00a0has been for the 49ers over the past few seasons. That\u2019s the sort of role Bernard can fill right away, with the potential to become a\u00a0Jakobi Meyers-esque stick mover over time. Bernard to the Bears or Vikings on Day 2? Perfect fits.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Vikings won\u2019t be targeting Bernard in the first round with selection No. 18. Yet, he could be in play later on. The Vikings also have the 49th, 82nd, and 97th picks in the first three rounds of the draft. <\/p>\n

In addition to Jefferson, Addison, and Felton, the Vikings also have return specialist Myles Price. In other words, there\u2019s more than enough room for another pass-catcher in Minnesota. There\u2019s one former All-Pro who\u2019d love to catch passes from Murray<\/a>, but the Vikings may prefer a younger, inexpensive solution here. <\/p>\n
