We are now less than a month away from the big event, and soon we will know which players will be joining the Dallas Cowboys. It’s only natural to hope certain players will be joining America’s Team and today we’ll look at prospects at almost all positions that would be great fits for the roster.

Unless it’s an undrafted free agent who they bring in as a “camp arm”, the Cowboys won’t be drafting a QB this year. They traded for Joe Milton last year as a developmental prospect and signed Sam Howell this year to have further competition. They’ll likely stick with status quo.

At 6’3”, 232-pounds with 4.5 speed, Adam Randall is an intriguing do-it-all running back who could challenge for the RB2 job as a rookie. He successfully made the transition from WR to RB in 2025 and has special teams value as well as a kick returner. He’s just starting to scratch the surface of his talent.

A precise route runner with inside/out versatility and 4.4 speed, Skyler Bell is a three-level threat in the passing game. He would provide much-needed depth at the position and has WR2 potential. He could challenge Ryan Flournoy for the WR3 job and carve out a key offensive role for himself as a rookie.

Oscar Delp was criminally underutilized during his time at Georgia. The 6’4”, 245-pound TE with 4.49 speed will be a better pro than he was in college. He could immediately replace Luke Schoonmaker as Dallas’ TE3 as a rookie, adding athleticism and speed to the position.

iOL – Keylan Rutledge, Georgia Tech

OT – Dametrious Crownover, Texas A&M

Keylan Rutledge is a plug-and-play guard who could allow the Cowboys to get creative with how they mix-and-match their starting offensive line. He could be inserted at LG allowing Tyler Smith to kick out to LT if the Cowboys have any lingering concerns with Tyler Guyton.

Dametrious Crownover is a better athlete than he has a football player right now, but he is a piece of moldable clay with the developmental traits to become a starting right tackle in the NFL. At 6’7”, 319-pounds with 35 3/8” arms he could become Terence Steele’s eventual replacement.

Jaishawn Barham, Michigan

Jaishawn Barham was predominantly an off-ball linebacker at both Maryland and Michigan before making the transition to edge in 2025. He projects as an OLB with the Cowboys and would give Christian Parker a versatile chess piece to deploy a variety of ways for his defensive scheme.

At 6’3”, 290-pounds with 34” arms, Tyler Onyedim is an underrated DT prospect in the 2026 draft class. He is scheme diverse and fits the mold of what Christian Parker is looking for in the 4i position in his 3-4 defensive scheme. He could play a key rotational role for the Cowboys as a rookie.

Jacob Rodriguez, Texas Tech

Jacob Rodriguez is a favorite linebacker prospect for many Cowboys fans in the entire 2026 draft class. He’d be a plug-and-play MLB for the Cowboys as a rookie and his ability to create turnovers in both the run and pass game would be a much welcomed addition.

Chris Johnson, San Diego State

Chris Johnson’s name isn’t one we’ve heard linked much to the Cowboys, but it should be. At 6’0”, 193-pounds with 4.4 speed, he checks all the boxes Christian Parker is looking for in an outside CB. He could compete for a role as a rookie.

At 6’3”, 210-pounds with 4.4 speed, V.J. Payne is a scheme diverse and versatile safety who could play a variety of roles in Christian Parker’s defensive scheme. He could potentially challenge for a starting job as a rookie, but would provide much-needed depth and special teams value regardless.

Who are some of your favorite draft prospects that would seamlessly fit into the Cowboys roster?

The 2026 NFL Draft is almost here!
