The Washington Commanders<\/a>‘ offense, led by Jayden Daniels, appears to be in fine shape as we turn to the NFL Draft.<\/p>\n

But receiver is a question mark, with Terry McLaurin as the only “stud” weapon, behind him is a group of fine receivers in Trey Burks, Dyami Brown, Jaylin Lane, and Luke McCaffrey.<\/p>\n

Is that enough to go into the 2026 season with?<\/p>\n

Also, out of that group, who would be WR2 behind McLaurin?<\/p>\n

For general manager Adam Peters, he likes the look of one receiver, but he hinted the team could add more weapons.<\/p>\n

“Terry’s a No. 1 receiver. I think [Burks has] another level to go to,” Peters said via [external-article-link original_href=”https:\/\/”Terry’s a No. 1 receiver. Burks WR2 in 2026?<\/p>\n

That is up for debate, as Peters said he has another level to go to. Is that to be a No. 2 receiver?<\/p>\n

For a player who, in his four years in the league, has never surpassed 444 yards and a touchdown in any season, that does seem like a tall order.<\/p>\n

But who knows? If Burks can get a full offseason of work in, build chemistry with Daniels, and put his best foot forward, he could become something special in 2026.<\/p>\n

That could be asking for a lot, but the Commanders believe he has the potential to be even better.<\/p>\n

Let’s see if he can fulfill that potential.<\/p>\n
