One thing that makes Buffalo Bills<\/a> quarterback Josh Allen such a dangerous threat is his ability to run and pick up big yards when scrambling.<\/p>\n

Allen has had at least 100 rushing attempts (or runs) in every year since his rookie season, and since 2023 has had at least 500 rushing yards and 12 TDs.<\/p>\n

So, it is a big weapon for the Bills’ offense. But we heard head coach Joe Brady state Allen was on one foot in the playoff loss to the Denver Broncos<\/a>. That might lean towards fans thinking not running Josh as much.<\/p>\n

But Brady isn’t there…yet.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s going to come a time in his career where his legs aren\u2019t going to be able to do what he can do, and he\u2019s going to have to become a true pocket passer,\u201d Brady said via The Athletic<\/a>. \u201cWe\u2019re not there yet, all right?<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I try not to be mindful of that when I\u2019m calling plays. We know, in the past, Josh is going to scramble. You\u2019ve got to count those scrambles, knowing that those are going to be some of the runs.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brady under pressure from Day 1<\/p>\n

Unlike most first-time head coaches, Brady isn’t going to get much leeway when it comes to performances in 2026.<\/p>\n

He’s taking over a team that has been in the playoffs every year for the past seven, while posting at least 10 wins in each of them.\u00a0<\/p>\n

That’s the bare minimum for Brady. So, no pressure.<\/p>\n

But with Allen in his prime and finally with a No.1 receiver, and a defense many think will be improved, Brady has all the tools needed to take Buffalo to new heights.<\/p>\n

Time will tell if he can.<\/p>\n
